Biography

Anshuman Rawat is a geopolitical/international relations journalist, communications specialist, author and serial media entrepreneur from India.

Founder-Director of Rawat MediaWorks and Communications Solutions Private Limited, he has assiduously built 15 years of experience in creation, management and marketing of content and communication solutions in print publishing, online media and digital video production. In the long run, he aims at being one of the most proactive players in “the development and spread of society-oriented media convergence” in India.

Currently, he is the consulting editor of League of India (India), a writer/columnist for The Huffington Post (UK), and the SAARC region editor of the blogs network of Foreign Policy Association (US).

Previously, he had written, produced and directed A.O.D. (aka The Art of Dying), one of India’s earliest full-length English feature films on digital format; founded and edited League, the first and only government (RNI) registered general interest English monthly magazine of the western Indian state of Gujarat and founded and edited The Indic Post, one of India’s only standalone internet newspaper of its time (just around the time The Huffington Post had arrived).

Some of his other roles include that of a webmaster of Ahmedabad’s only social networking site of the time Kitli – Life@Tea®), publishing manager of Peepal ke Patte, a Hindi novel by Shambhu Dayal, screenplay writer of Twice Shy, a bilingual feature film script, author of I am Ahmedabad, a collection of short stories, executive editor of four B2B/trade magazines simultaneously, Hindi film reviewer etc.

He also has his poetry published in an international collection and has composed the entire original soundtrack (lyrics and music) of one of his forthcoming films.

A qualified Civil Engineer (Geo-Technical Engineering), with two postgraduate diplomas in media studies, he expects to launch his most recent – and the most ambitious as yet – entrepreneurial venture Travel Intelligence India (Ti91) by the third quarter of this year.
